Terms of Service

The terms below apply to anyone reading Back Porch Seam Field Guide, and come down to one point: general information is not advice about a particular job.

Not Advice for Your Job

These guides address the typical case, never a particular property. Where what is written here conflicts with what a qualified professional says about the actual job, the professional is right.

No Warranty of Accuracy

Accuracy is the aim and not a promise. Anything load bearing on a decision should be verified against a current source before it is acted on.

Third Party Sites

Other sites are linked on merit and nothing more. It is not because it is vouched for: its content and conduct are its own responsibility.

Changes

Amendments to these terms take effect when they are published on this page. Earlier versions are superseded rather than archived.

Copyright

The writing on this site is not free for reuse. Short extracts with a credit and a link may be used freely; copying a page wholesale may not.

Limitation of Liability

Decisions taken on the basis of anything read here are the reader's own. No liability is accepted for loss or cost arising from acting on published guidance, to the fullest extent the law permits.
